Laura Pearson is a versatile writer, editor, and content strategist based in Southwest Michigan. She started her career as a journalist, writing everything from book reviews and travel stories to essays and cultural commentary. She created “Me, My Shelf and I” for the Chicago Tribune, showcasing great book collections, and her home and design stories have appeared in newspapers nationwide. 

Moving into the copywriting realm, she built a diverse portfolio across print, digital, email and marketing campaigns for clients such as Walgreens, Aon, the American Medical Association, CohnReznick, and Diageo. As an editor, she has curated content and proofread a range of materials—feature stories, pitch decks, dissertations, and more—and was formerly books editor at Time Out Chicago.
