Laura Pearson is a writer and editor based in Nashville, Tennessee, having relocated from Chicago, where she spent 15 years writing about the city’s art, culture and less-trodden trails. As a journalist, she writes everything from book reviews and travel stories to essays and cultural commentary. She created “Me, My Shelf and I” for the Chicago Tribune, showcasing great book collections, and her home and design stories have appeared in newspapers nationwide. 

In the copywriting realm, she has written for print, digital, email and marketing campaigns and more. As an editor, she has curated content and proofread a range of materials—feature stories, pitch decks, PhD dissertations, and more—and was formerly books editor at Time Out Chicago.
